iBook Care

Here are some guidelines for caring for the iBook.

1.  Stop by the computer lab if you are having trouble with your iBook.  Tell us what is going on and we can try to fix it for you.  If we can't fix it we can send it out for repair.  We will give you a spare to use until your iBook is returned.

2.  If you accidently drop your iBook, please come into the computer lab.  We will examine your iBook. 

3.  If you spill something on the keyboard, turn the laptop off immediately.   Leave the top up, use both hands and gently flip the iBook over so the keyboard is upside down draining the liquid out of the keyboard.  Hold it upside down for a few minutes.  Bring the iBook to the lab as soon as possible.

4.  Each team has a basket of cleaning materials.  Homeroom teachers will supervise students as they clean the keyboard and screen, and outside of the iBook.

5.  Do not use cleaning products from home to clean the iBook.

6.  The case may get a bit dirty from time to time.  A slightly damp sponge and gentle cleaning will clean dirt and grime from the case.
